Volunteers wanted to lend a hand to village clean-up

COFFEE AND CHAT – The parish hall will be open from 10.30am-12 noon today, Wednesday, for the regular coffee and chat session. There is no charge for the get-togethers as they are arranged to provide an opportunity for the community to meet informally and socially, but any donations are appreciated.

CLEAN-UP DAY – A parish hall clean-up day has been organised for Monday, September 26.

Offers of help from any volunteers will be appreciated. Go along at 2.30pm, when you will be made very welcome as part of the team.

The hall should then be well spruced up and prepared for the winter programme of events, which will be launched with the annual Harvest Supper and produce auction sale on Friday, October 7.

Booking is essential for the meal, so reserve your place with Maureen on 01507 313584.

After the supper, Mike Perkins of Perkins, George Mawer and Co will conduct the auction sale of donated produce and all proceeds will go to parish hall funds.

HISTORY GROUP – The next meeting of the South Willingham History Group will be held in the parish hall on Thursday, September 29, at 7.30pm.
