Strawberries galore - The annual strawberry tea event will be held this year at Holly House on Sunday June 23.

Go along from 2pm to enjoy some traditional games as well as a delicious strawberry afternoon tea.

AGM - The village hall management committee holds its annual meeting on Thursday, June 13 at 7pm.

The meeting is open to all residents.

Presence Study Group: - This inter-denominational group will meet at Tilsit in Bishop Norton Road at 7pm on Thursday, June 13, and June 27.

Grasby

The May Coffee Morning was held at the home of Mr and Mrs M Boothman at Mill Farm, Grasby.

£108 was raised for the building of a servery at Grasby Church.

Raffle winners were: Gill Johnson, June Hopkins, Angela Burrows, Don and Maureen Payne, Norma Morr, Liz Holmes, Pat Weldon, Ann Brown, Margaret Jay, Christine and Dorothy Woodcock.

Wragby

Wragby & District Swimming Club - held its annual sponsored swim on Sunday June 2.

Among the swimmers was a six-year-old who only two months ago could only move through the water with arm bands on, yet ended up swimming a whole mile on the day, and the boy who achieved a total of three miles.

Organisers were disappointed though that 40 sponsor forms were taken but only 12 people turned up on the day.

The Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Concert Band - will be performing at Wragby Town Hall on Saturday June 22, starting at 7.30pm.

Tickets will be on the door subject to availability - £5 each.

A licensed bar will be available provided by The Turnor Arms.

All Saints Church Summer Fete - will be held on Saturday July 20 at Wragby Town Hall from 2pm – 5pm.

All the usual stalls and attractions will be there including games, cakes, entertainment, plants, books, tombola, raffle, water bombs, refreshments with teas and summer cocktails.

WI - A day trip to Scarborough is the choice for the members of Wragby WI and friends on Sunday, June 16.

The bus will leave Wragby at 8.30am. Anyone interested in joining the party can ring Margaret Kane on 01673 858067.

The annual evening mystery trip is planned for Monday July 15 leaving Wragby at 6pm for a coach tour around the local lanes ending at an undisclosed venue where a meal will be booked.

Osgodby

Masters of the game - Children at Osgodby School have been showing they are true masters of the game when it comes to chess.

Eighteen pupils qualified for the Lincolnshire Megafinal held recently at Lincoln Minster School, with 13 attending - Charlie Ross, Stephanie Fox, Alice Pedersen, James Thompson, Eleanor Mills, Ruby Hill, Thomas Hunt, George Hunt, Harry Moore, Isabel Taylor, Rosanna Carr, Charles Fox and James Peatfield.

Following their success at the event, Isabel, Ruby, Harry, Rosanna, James and Charles have all now qualified for the Gigafinal to be held in Manchester at the beginning of July.
