Walkers enjoyed a taste of the Wolds countryside as Market Rasen held its second annual Walkers are Welcome event on Saturday.
The town group joined forces with Lincolnshire Ramblers, Wolds Countryside Service West Lindsey Tourism and Lincolnshire County Council to offer a range of routes to suit all tastes - including one ‘bus walk’.
And throughout the day, the Walkers are Welcome stall in the market place offered information and leaflets promoting walking in Lincolnshire.
But it wasn’t just about the walks.
Market Rasen Walkers are Welcome chairman Mike Eckersley also led geocaching sessions - an introduction to the real-world treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices such as smartphones - which created a lot of interest.
