A man has been seriously injured after being hit by a car on the B1398 North Cliff Road near Kirton Lindsey this morning, Tuesday October 7.

A silver coloured Vauxhall Corsa left the road near to Manton and the only occupant, a 24-year-old-man, began to walk towards Kirton Lindsey.

After about a mile and a half the man was involved in a collision with a blue coloured BMW 3 series near to the Windmill in Kirton Lindsey at around 6am.

The 24-year-old was treated at the scene before being taken to Hull Royal Infirmary with serious potentially life threatening injuries.

The driver of the BMW was not injured in the incident.

Police would like to speak anyone who witnessed the collision or the man walking on the B1398 between Manton and Kirton Lindsey prior to the collision. Anyone with information should call Humberside Police on 101 quoting log 49 of 07/10/14.
