Normanby-le-Wold lorry driver injured in accident

A 38-year-old lorry driver suffered a suspected broken leg after her lorry upturned on the A1028 near Skendleby, trapping her inside.

The Normamby-le-Wold woman was freed by firefighters and taken to Boston Pilgrim Hospital after the accident between Stone Pit Lane and Dawby lane shortly after 3.30pm on Monday afternoon.

The articulated lorry spilled 42 tonnes of grain,closing the road until 8.30pm while a farmer removed it.

There were no other vehicles of people involved.
