Bus driver injured in A15 collision

A BUS driver was airlifted to hospital today, Tuesday, after the vehicle he was driving was in collision with an HGV lorry.

His injuries have been described as serious.

The collision happened on the A15 around 7.15am, near the Waddingham turn off.

The bus was not carrying any passengers.

The HGV lorry overturned in the incident, but no further injuries were reported.

The road remains closed from Caenby Corner northbound and from the Kirton turn off southbound while the vehicles were recovered and the diesel spillage cleared.

Any witnesses to the collision are asked to call police on 101.
