Appeal after biker is injured in crash

A motorcyclist had to be airlifted to hospital after a crash in Scawby.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the two-vehicle crash in Messingham Lane, at the junction with Ermine Street on Saturday, 1 June at about 5.20pm.

A greenVolkswagen Golf car and a silver and black Harley Davison motorcycle were involved in the collision.

The motorcyclist, a Broughton man, was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary by air ambulance with various injuries. None of his injuries were described as life threatening.

The road was closed for some time to allow emergency services to deal with the incident and for the casualty to be treated and the vehicles removed. It re-opened again shortly after 10pm.
