More than £2,500 was raised for Lindsey Lodge Hospice at the 7th annual Barnetby Tractor Run, which this year reached the 100 tractors mark.

The event was organised by the Brumpton Family, plus a crew of dedicated helpers, and this year’s 22-mile route took in Somerby, Searby and Owmby villages, before heading to Hendale wood and on to Kirmington.

“The effort that goes into this event every year is amazing,” said Ann Millett, Fundraising Officer for Lindsey Lodge.

“So many tractors turn up and local people are so dedicated to its success.”

Wendy Broughton, one of the organisers, added: “We had a welcome pit stop at Lancaster Bros. farm - many thanks to Stuart and Peter for making us welcome, and to the wonderful ‘Lancaster ladies’ who provided tea and a delicious selection of home made cakes.

“And a huge thank you to the landowners for allowing us access to their tracks, to the sponsors and donors of the amazing array of raffle prizes, and to everyone who came along to enjoy the spectacle and support the event.”
