REPAIR work on Legsby’s church tower has now been completed, but more funds are needed to restore the roof and interior.
The church tower was damaged by the 2008 earthquake and a series of hard winters, but has now been restored to its former glory.
A series of fundraising events will now be held to raise the cash needed to repair the church roof and decorate inside.
The first event held recently was a coffee morning hosted by Richard and Lucy Firth of Bleasby Moor, which raised £200.
The next event is the summer fete, to be held on July 9 at Wood Langham Farm between 12noon and 3pm.
A number of stalls will be set up to browse and there will also be pony carriage rides and a children’s treasure hunt.
