A TEENAGER has been left traumatised after a frightening incident in a Wolds village.
The 17-year-old had been at her friend’s house in Walesby and had set off to drive back home just after midnight.
But as she drove towards the village centre, she found her path blocked by a man standing in the middle of the road, carrying what she says looked like a canvas shotgun case.
The girl’s mother told the Mail: “She had to stop. The man came to the driver’s door and pressed his face against the side window.
“My daughter tried to drive off, but in her panic stalled the car.
“The man then hit the side of the car with the canvas case, causing a dent.
“My daughter managed to restart the car and drive home.”
The man is described as being in his mid-40s with a beard and was wearing work or shooting type clothes.
Now police want to hear from anyone who may have any information on this incident, which has left the teenager not wanting to drive in the dark.
“We made a search of the area after we received the report, but could not find anyone,” said a police spokesman.
“We would obviously like to hear from anyone who has any information on this unexplained incident or who may have a suggestion of who this person might be.
“We would also like to speak to anyone who has seen any other suspicious activity or has had a similar confrontation in this area or indeed to the man involved himself.
