SALE – Jaqui Maplethorpe has arranged a charity table top sale at the Wragby Town Hall on Saturday, September 17.
The hall will be open from 1pm-3pm and stalls are available at £5 and can be booked by ringing Jaqui on 01673 857459 – or by paying £6 on the day.
The event is being held to raise funds for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
Her interest in the lifeboats began when she was a young girl growing up in Mablethorpe, where she witnessed the valuable rescue work the men did, going out in dangerous conditions to save lives off the coast, and she continues to help and support them.
It is free entry and refreshments will be available.
TALENT – Well-known local performers take to the stage to present a variety show at Wragby Town Hall on Saturday, September 17, at 7.30pm.
Admission is £4 for adults and £1 for children and this includes light refreshments, which will be served during the interval.
Proceeds are for the town hall funds and tickets can be obtained in advance from chairman Kathy Lowe on 07593559740 or Margaret Kane on 01673 858067.
They will also be available on the door.
The programme includes an accordion player, a karate display, hand bell ringing, a young guitarist, a ballet dancer, poets and a Joyce Grenfell impersonator.
FASHION – The Wragby Methodist Chapel is the place to be on Thursday, September 15 when Lincs Fashions is presenting a Fashion Show featuring bargain-priced clothes from high street fashion stores including Next, Marks and Spencer, British Home Stores and many others.
All the clothes are new and will be available in all sizes to buy on the night after being modelled and there will be facilities for trying on before any purchase is made.
Tickets cost £3 and this will include refreshments, while there will be a raffle to give an added to boost to funds too.
SUPPER – The directors of Thorne’s Beehives at their new premises at Rand, formerly the base of UCS, are to host the next meeting of the Wragby Supper Club.
New members are always welcome at the club, which provides a happy social evening combined with a talk, demonstration or visit to a place of general interest – in addition to the supper, which is the focal point of the evening.
This month’s meeting is on Friday, September 16 at Rand, at 7pm.
The cost for supper is £4.
