SHADOWS from the past have been appearing at Market Rasen train station.

The mysterious Victorian travellers are part of a project undertaken by the C G Partnership Station Art Group and funded by the Association of Community Rail Partnerships (ACoRP),

“Our brief was to make some silhouettes in Victorian customer, but the actual range of figures was up to us,” said tutor Helen Scrimshaw.

And what a fantastic range they came up with - even pet dog Ruby was used as inspiration.

The art group is made up of beginners and more experienced artists, who all worked together to produce the art work.

“I am really proud of what the group has achieved,” added Helen.

The idea for the silhouettes came from Station Adoption Group chairman John Skelton, who has been suitably impressed with the result.

“The art group has done a wonderful job yet again.

“It is everything I hoped for and people have been very impressed by them.”
