It is the student fashion show watched by the world’s best designers - and a woman from Swallow will be showcasing her work at the top event.
Lou Watson has been selected as a finalist for the St Andrews Charity Fashion Show young designer of the year award after beating off some tough competition.
The 22-year-old impressed judges with her Alice in Wonderland-inspired corset and basque designs.
And now she is making the five-piece collection to be modelled at the fashion show in February.
It will be watched by thousands of people - and Lou cannot wait to see her creations on the catwalk.
She said: “I decided to enter online , I just thought ‘why not’.
“Winning would mean everything, I can’t even begin to describe how good it would be.”
The designers were asked to make a collection based on the theme of this year’s show - bright young things.
Lou said: “I just love all that surrealism and eccentricity.”
Countour fashion graduate Lou currently runs online business Persephone Corsetry - and she has big aspirations for the future.
She said: “Eventually I would like to have my own little boutique.
“That would be amazing.”
If Lou wins the competition she will get £1,000.
And the title ‘young designer of the year’ will put Lou on the map as one of the country’s best talents.
