Caistor Grammar School hosted their annual Sports Assembly to publicly recognise and reward the success and dedication of their top sports performers.

And the school was delighted to welcome Ben Pipes, the GB volleyball Captain, and Rob Watson, the Foundation Phase Lead Coach with Scunthorpe United FC, to the event.

This year’s bespoke trophies were awarded to the ‘Players’ Player’ in Football and Netball, for progress and achievement in Athletics and, finally, the overall Junior and Intermediate Sportsperson of the Year.

And, once again, grateful thanks went to the Design and Technology Department for creating these trophies awarded.

The winners were: Football - yr 7 Joshua Hyldon, yr 8 Jamie Wallace, yr 9 Tommy Rollinson, yr 10 Jack Wilson; Netball - yr 7 Emily Barrett, yr 8 Jessica Edwards, yr 9 Holly Mottram, yr 10 Orla Knowles; Athletics - yr 7 William Tate and Emily Barrett, yr 8 Declan Bell and Lucy Wilson, yr 9 Sam Redgate-Large and Imogen Smith, yr 10 George Gillott and Holly Horton.

Overall Sports Performers of the Year were Angus Haswell, Jessica Edwards, Chad Dawson and Bridie Salmon.
