Run, shoot and shave all help charity funds

It was a close shave for life saving charities as they were given the run around at
Nettleton but they proved to be on target for a cash boost.

Despite atrocious weather conditions, the event at Nettleton Shooting Lodge raised a preliminary figure of £1,700, to be shared between local LIVES groups and the Lincs and Notts Air
Ambulance.

A 3.3-mile fun run attracted 18 runners, with Barrie Gammidge coming home first, closely followed by Steve Spall, with James Nurse in third place. First home for the ladies was Jane Weston, with Harriet Gillman second and Lydia Walton third.

Open Shoot results: 1 Daryl Shillaker and Martin Doughty, 3 Kieran Rattigan; ladies - 1 Rosie Brumby, 2 Emma Jacob, 3 Angela Bartram.

Open Dogs - 1 Will Jacob and Mollie, 2 Mrs Haith and Woody, 3 Mick Bullivant and Sasha. Single Dog Retrieve - 1 Mick Bullivant and Sasha, 2 Will Jacob and Belle, 3 Mrs Haith and Ellie. Junior - 1 Izzy Lobley with Ozzy, 2 Maisy Lobley with Ozzy.

And Billy Grist had his beard shaved off by Roly Clark.

“It helps to raise the money for good causes,” said Billy.
