MEMBERS of Market Rasen Rotary Club have been out collecting for charities both here and overseas over the Christmas period.

A collection at Tesco raised £260, which will be split between Macmillan Nurses in Lincolnshire, and the St Andrew’s Hospice in Grimsby.

At the town’s Co-op store, £390 was raised for the Rotary inspired Shelter Box scheme, which provides a ‘continue living’ kit for people in disaster-struck areas.

“We would like to say thank you for the generosity of all those who donated, and to the management and staff at both stores for allowing the collections to take place,” said Rotarian David Mason.
