A Market Rasen carehome worker has been recognised for her dedication to her role at The Poplars in Market Rasen.

Ann Watmough was one of six staff from The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT) in Lincolnshire to be awarded for their outstanding achievements and the quality of care they provide residents.

The presentation was made at the Trust’s 2013 Chairman’s Commendation Awards, which took place earlier this month in Lincoln Cathedral’s Chapter House.

Ann is the Senior Housekeeper at The Poplars and was commended for constantly going the ‘extra mile’ in her role.

The citation described how she gives up her own free time to meet residents’ needs and ensures the highest standard of cleanliness in the home.

“Our homes and staff throughout the country are always going above and beyond to provide the highest quality of care for our residents, and the Chairman’s Commendation Awards is our way of recognising those whose dedication and commitment have shined over the past year,” said Andrew Cheesbrough, the care trust’s Chief Executive.

“Earning one of these coveted awards is a unique achievement deserving of a special occasion to celebrate, which is why we hope receiving the award with our Trustees and senior management present within the historic setting of Lincoln Cathedral makes the experience one not to be forgotten.

“At OSJCT, we are dedicated to continuing the improvement of our homes in order to provide the highest quality of life for residents, and we are extremely proud of the high standards of care we provide thanks to the dedication shown by everyone who works at our homes across Lincolnshire and the UK.”
