As the demand for three morning advice surgeries at Caistor Multi Use Centre has been reducing over the past year, with an average of three customers daily, the council would like to make better use of the time.
To allow West Lindsey District Council to reach as many customers as possible they have decided to reduce the number of surgeries from three to one and increase the availability of the home visiting service for Housing Benefit applications and Council Tax queries.
Where this change has been implemented in other areas, it has proved to be very successful with staff dealing with more customers quicker than during an open surgery.
Any customer requiring a home visit should ring either the Housing Benefits Team on 01427 676565 or the Council Tax Team on 01427 676566 who will make the arrangements for a home visit.
As from January 8, 2014 a Wednesday surgery will still be held from 9am to 1pm at the Caistor Multi Use Centre and for any advice outside of this time customers can visit our website www.west-lindsey.gov.uk, visit their Market Rasen office or ring the Customer Services Team on 01427 676676 who will be happy to help.
