The new Mill Road Playing Field in Market Rasen is due to open this Wednesday, January 15.
The park has been closed since the beginning of December while new equipment is installed.
A skate park, multi-use-play-area (MUGA), new playground and path have all been constructed using town council money and a £1,000 grant from district and county councillor Burt Keimach.
RoSPA, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, are due to sign the park off on Tuesday.
Construction of the new equipment had been delayed due to supply problems and an arson attack before Christmas.
An official opening ceremony will be held in the coming months.
Mayor Steve Bunney said the town councillors were keen to see the town’s parks and open spaces “brought up to scratch for the benefit of residents.”
The refurbishment has cost in the region of £20,000.
