A NEW town map aimed at promoting tourism and trade is now on display in Market Rasen Market Place.

Pupils from De Aston School and Market Rasen Primary School were chosen to go along to officially unveil the map at a ceremony last Friday.

Deputy mayor Steve Bunney praised the work done by Coun Graham Bower, who had spearheaded the project.

“The map will be kept up to date to help people find out where businesses are in and around the town,” said Coun Bunney.

The map has been sponsored by the 40 featured businesses, and the other side of the board will be available for displaying visitor information.

The cost of making the map has been shared with The Hub, who will also be producing leaflets featuring an up-to-date map of the town.
