Independent Alan Caine has lost his seat in Caistor as Conservatives Angela Lawrence and Owen Bierley retained theirs on West Lindsey District Council.

This is the first time the Caistor and Yarborough seats have been amalgamated. Caistor previously had two seats and Yarborough one until the Electoral Commission changes.

Angela Lawrence won the most votes with 1,175 followed by fellow Tory Owen Bierley with 1,164.

This left long serving district councillor Alan Caine out in the cold in third with 955.

Labour’s John Indian and Oliver Jackson took 619 and 545 votes respectively and UKIP’s Nigel Wright 527.
