Brigg Town Council clerk Clare Davis has announced dates for several key annual events coming up shortly.
The council’s civic service will be held in St John’s Church on Sunday, September 20.
Town Mayor and Mayoress, James Truepenny and Sophie Brumby, will hold the service at 3.30pm and local organisations are invited to send representatives to the service.
Light refreshments will follow in the ballroom of the Angel Suite.
The annual summer awards event will take place on the Market Place and in the Angel Suite on Saturday, September 26.
There will be presentations to those who have displayed the best kept garden and the best allotment during the summer.
The council’s judging team has been out and about during the last few months and the public are welcome to join in with the event.
The Mayor will also be running a stall at a coffee morning in the same room.
The next full town council meeting will take place in the Angel on Monday, September 28, at 7.30pm.
There was no council meeting in August, with members taking a break for holidays.
