Brigg Town Councillors have voted on a number of donations to various local groups in support of their activities.

The North Lincolnshire Branch of the National RAF Association, which is based in Brigg, has been awarded £250 to assist with the purchase of a replacement caravan.

The 2222 Brigg Squadron Air Training Corps were awarded £50 to support members on a sponsored parachute jump for charity and the council agreed to purchase a Beam Training Pad for £145 for Brigg Gymnastics Club.

The town council also agreed to underwrite any loss incurred by the North Lincolnshire Music and Drama Festival in the organising of its spring festival, up to a sum of £250.

The organisations receiving grants all had to give council sight of the accounts and planned use of the monies allocated.

The awards were made by the council’s Policy Committee at their recent meeting in the Angel Suite.
