Plans for a larger community centre in Toft Newton have been submitted to West Lindsey District Council.
Dom Pavia of the Toft Newton Village Hall Association says the new plan replaces an older one approved in 2009.
The project has been extended from 418m2 to 490m2 as the previous design did not meet the requirements of funding bodies.
It also needed to accommodate extra facilities, such as FA/Sport England compliant changing rooms, officials rooms, baby changing and storage.
This has resulted in the need to extend the length of the building by 4.2m while keeping the width the same.
The site at the south-east of the village currently contains disused prefabricated buildings and associated garages, owned by Newtoft Social Club.
The plans also propose parking for 22 vehicles with access provided from Washington Drive.
The new, better plans will have the same impact on neighbours as the old plan, the application added.
