Police have reported three further incidents of break-ins in Ludford, adding to a spate of incidents in the village in July.

PCSO Andrea Cave of the Louth Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team said Lincolnshire Police received two further reports of sheds or outbuilding being broken into on Magna Mile overnight on Wednesday, July 31.

She revealed there had also been a burglary at the White Hart Inn in the village on the same night, where it is believed the thieves may have been disturbed by occupants.

She said: “Please could we ask any residents with any information in relation to these incidents or of any supicious activity in the village to please contact Lincolnshire Police on the non-emergency number 101.

“The Neighbourhood Policing Team have also today distributed crime prevention leaflets to properties on Magna Mile and we ask all residents to please take the time to read this literature as it provides valuable security tips to help prevent you becoming a victim of crime.

“We endeavour to distribute more of these leaflets to other areas in Ludford in due course.”
