WRAGBY FAMILY BINGO - The town hall is the place to be on Saturday, May 12, for a fun night out for all ages, when family bingo is on the cards, with eyes down at 7.30pm and good cash prizes for those with the lucky numbers.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Proceeds will go to the hall kitchen refurbishing fund.
WRAGBY FARMERS MARKET AND CRAFT FAIR - There was a hive of activity in the town hall for the second Farmers Market and Craft Fair, held to raise funds for the Town Hall Play Park Refurbishing Scheme.
All 26 tables had been booked and stall holders donated prizes for the raffle.
Proceeds from the event amounted to £219 for the play park fund.
WRAGBY COMMUNITY GARDENERS - After a change in venue to the town hall, as the Fire Station Community Room, their venue since the club was launched, was unavailable members voted overwhelmingly in favour of the Town Hall annexe to be their new home from the start of the new programme in the autumn.
The topic for the evening was Medieval Cookery and Herbs with Ruth Andrews, a former teacher and member of staff at Gainsborough Old Hall who wore Tudor dress which added to the period atmosphere.
Ruth gave a brief history of the Old Hall building from the fifteenth Century to the present day, and the food and herbs which were in general use in each century - and how they relate to current usage.
The members of the audience were fascinated by her illuminating and interesting talk, which ended with an invitation to them all to share the medieval buffet supper she had prepared earlier for them.
A plant stall and a raffle during social time ended a very happy and informative meeting.
JUMBLE - A successful jumble sale was held in the town hall in aid of Dove Park Bowls Club and, at the end of the afternoon, club members were delighted to find they had made a profit of £374.50 after paying all expenses and they thank everyone who donated goods for the stalls, gave their support and helped out in any way to make their spring fund raising event so successful.
A quantity of unsold jigsaw puzzles were donated to the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Charity shop in Wragby Market Place to help give a boost to their funds.
BROWNIES – Wragby Brownies held their annual sleep-over at Sea Gull House at Trusthorpe April 29–29 when member all worked towards the Seaside Challenge Badge.
Twenty three eager brownies, five guiders and one guide travelled by coach to their destination on a very cold but dry day.
Mr Briggs from Natural England met the group and proceeded to the beach where he did sea dipping.
