Celebrations in Osgodby of the coronations of 1937 and 1953 included fancy dress parades through the village.
On Saturday, June 15, there will be another parade to mark the Diamond Jubilee of the Queen’s Coronation - only this time it will be scarecrows and tractors wearing the fancy dress.
Competitions for the best dressed scarecrow and best turned-out tractor will be judged by Market Rasen Mail editor Paul Fisher.
And organisers have pulled out all the stops to ensure this special occasion will be celebrated with fun for all the family, with plenty of games , craft stalls, displays and refreshments.
Those with four-legged friends can enter the fun dog show and agility display, which will be led by Mel’s Klever K9s, a semi-finallist of ‘Britain’s Got Talent.’
Among the craft stalls will be a display by local artist Richard Chuck and at 12 noon Lincolnshire chef Rachel Green will be giving a cookery demonstration.
The parade starts at 10.30am at the village green and the fete and dog show at 11am on the playing field.
