An open air production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s most popular comic opera will be staged at Lincoln Castle this week.

Illyria perform The Pirates of Penzance this Friday, July 25, at 7.30pm.

A show packed with laughter, romance and unforgettable lyrics such as ‘To be a Pirate King!’, ‘Modern Major General’ and ‘A Policeman’s Lot is Not a Happy Once’, will be faithfully performed by a reduced cast and accompanied by a music director on keyboard. Bring your own seating.

Light refreshments will be served on the night, but audience members are welcome to take along their own picnics.

Tickets for the show cost £12.50, with concessions £10, children £7.50 and a family ticket, for two adults and up to three children, £32.50.
