The laying of wreaths at the war memorial followed.

Town Mayor’s Chaplain, the Rev Alec Depledge, gave the address at the service, which was led by Father Owain Mitchell, Vicar of Brigg.

The parade assembled in Station Road before walking to the parish church, led by members of the Royal British Legion and war veterans.

After the service, the parade re-assembled and made its way to the town war memorial for the silence and laying of wreaths.

Town Mayor John Kitwood led the homage and the parade and wreath laying involved a wide spectrum of the community.
