The funeral service for Hilary Barbara Thornton, aged 82 years of Market Rasen, was held at the parish church.

The Rev Canon Ian Robinson officiated at the service and arrangements were by J Marshall.

Hilary was born at Prospect Place in Market Rasen.

Her late husband, Harry, was in the RAF and Hilary helped the Royal British Legion for 60 years and was a loyal member of the local branch. She also helped Market Rasen Bowls Club by doing the teas.

Hilary’s last job was as a kitchen assistant at De Aston School and she had also worked for Starbucks as a catering assistant.
