It was with much sadness that family and friends heard of the sudden death of Andrew Thomas Wilkins, who passed away at Lincoln County Hospital following a short illness

Andy, as known to all, aged 55, was born in Cleethorpes to parents Mary and Donald Wilkins, having two sisters Jane and Clare.

On leaving school he joined the army and gave active service in Northern Ireland, until medically discharged at the age of 21.

Andy spent most of his working life in electronic engineering (semi conductors) – working all over the world, making his way up from shift leader to European Customer Support Manager (ASML) in Netherlands, UK and Ireland.

Later on he worked as case manager for call advocacy – a charity that helped vulnerable people in Lincolnshire.

He had a great love of sport especially rugby.

Living in Southrey, he is now survived by his wife Carol, daughter Rebecca Wilkins, parents Mary and Donald Wilkins, sisters Jane and Clare.

The service of thanksgiving for the life of Andy was held at Lincoln Crematorium, where Ann Pepper officiated.
