A new company has taken on provision of wireless broadband via radio masts in the Market Rasen and Caistor area.
The service, previously provided by Hemswell Cliff based Linpop, has been taken on by Yorkshire based company Quickline Communications.
With a combination of high-speed fibre and over-the-air technologies, implementation of new mast means that businesses in and around Market Rasen now have access to an internet service with speeds up to 40Mb, even in rural areas where traditional telecoms companies are unable to reach.
Gaynor Osborne-Lawn, director of Quickline Communications, said: “The new mast at Market Rasen will service rural business parks, town centre businesses and residential areas that had, until now, been subjected to a poor quality connection in some cases.
“These areas can now enjoy broadband that is up to 20 times faster.”
