Swallow woman Louise Watson has had her corsetry designs showcased at a prestigious show in London.
Six original pieces from the 21-year-old’s collection, inspired by the Greek goddess Persephone, were modelled professionally on the catwalk at the Graduate Fashion Show at Earls Court.
“I was really honoured to be chosen by the panel of judges to showcase my corset collection ‘Persephone’ and represent the contour course at graduate fashion week,” said Louise.
“The show was an amazing experience and very stressful backstage.
“I got emotional when my first models went out, three years of very hard work and sleepless nights made it worth it.”
Louise is a former pupil of De Aston and Caistor Grammar School and has just completed her degree in Contour Fashion at De Montfort University, Leicester.
Her plans for the future include starting her own business designing and producing bespoke lingerie and corsets.
And it looks like things are well on their way having been accepted onto the Enterprise Inc course to help set up her own business.
“I’m really looking forward to getting started on it at the end of June, it’s so exciting,” she added.
