Brigg Town Mayor’s Coffee Morning and Presentation of Awards Ceremony will be held this Sunday, October 6, in the Angel Suite from 10am to 1pm.

Judging has recently taken place for the Best Allotment and Best Kept Garden and the winners will be awarded trophies and prizes at 11am.

Proceeds from the coffee morning will go to Town Mayor John Kitwood’s Appeal.

Brigg and District Breast Cancer Support Group will meet on Tuesday October 15 and Tuesday November 19 in the Angel Suite from 7pm to 10pm.

Anyone affected by the disease, or relatives of those affected, are welcome to attend on the night.

The first Autumn meeting of the Brigg Horticultural Society will be held at the Methodist Church Hall in Barnard Avenue tomorrow, Thursday October 3 at 7.30pm.

There will be an illustrated talk on Heritage Fruit Trees.

Free entry for members, non-members £2.

Brigg Business Partnership stage a family free event in the town this Saturday, October 5.

The ‘Home and Lifestyle’ show in the market place will enable Brigg’s retailers to showcase home improvements and improved lifestyle opportunities.

Brigg Office Supplies in Old Courts Road are staging a charity event in aid of Jerry Green Dogs Home at Castlethorpe on Saturday October 26,the same day as the farmers market.

The event will begin at 10am.
