The first Friday of March is Women’s World Day of Prayer and this year the service, which will be observed
across the globe, has been written by the community of Egypt.
The first service of Streams in the Desert will take place on the Island of Samoa as dawn breaks.
The world is then circled in prayer for 36 hours and the service celebrated in more than 170 countries, until the last one takes place on American Samoa.
In this area, services take place on Friday March 7 as follows:

St Michael and All Angels Church, Brookenby at 2.30pm, led by Jean Batchelor and Doreen Wallis.
Caistor Methodist Church, 7pm hosted by Springs Church, speaker Carole Munn.
Glentham Parish Church, 7pm, led by the Rev Sally Turnbull.
St John’s Church, Brigg, 7pm.
All these ecumenical Christian services are open to women, children and men.
