Christmas came alive in Market Rasen this evening, Friday December 6, as the town’s festive lights were turned on by Binbrook Paralympian Jamie Carter.
As well as a Christmas Market, carols were sung by pupils from Market Rasen, Middle Rasen, Legsby and Osgodby Primary Schools and Market Rasen’s Salvation Army Band and Res Dev Band also performed.
The event was jointly organised by Market Rasen Town Council, Market Rasen and District Round Table and Market Rasen Business Improvement Group (MR BIG).
Market Rasen Mayor Steve Bunney said: “I think the event has been a great success.
“It is wonderful to see so many people here and so many stalls, it is a great improvement on previous years and our Christmas events will only continue to grow.”
The festive fun continue tomorrow, Saturday, as MR BIG holds its award winning monthly market with a seasonal theme.
