DCC Roach, who joined in 1986 as a Special Constable and was appointed DCC in September 2014, has steadily been saying her goodbyes over the last few weeks and said one last fond farewell to the officers and staff she has served with in a video filmed in-house, complete with a special cameo appearance at the end.

Chief Constable Neil Rhodes said: “It’s not without real sadness that we all say goodbye to Heather, who has been nothing short of exemplary throughout her career with Lincolnshire Police.

“She has held a number of roles throughout her career, most have been detective-based and in CID, but she also spent time with professional standards and in the FCR, to name but a few before obviously becoming an executive officer. Heather claims her progression is down to luck but I have to say I disagree with that because in her case she is a focused, dedicated, passionate, determined and interested officer. That is what she must attribute to her own success.

“I’ve been proud and honoured to serve with her all of these years and will miss her both as a colleague and a friend. All of us here at Lincolnshire Police wish her the very best and all the happiness for her retirement and this next chapter of her life.”
