A charity day at Tealby Tennis Club has served up £582.50 for the work of the Lincoln and Lindsey Blind Society.
Using the three club courts and three private courts, generously donated for the day, 35 ladies from clubs across the north of Lincolnshire took part in the event.
Each court winner received a prize and everyone enjoyed a sumptuous lunch.
Representatives from the Lincoln & Lindsey Blind Society were also on hand to talk to players about the Society and also to give a general talk on the work it does.
“We would like to say a big thank you to Joy and Jon,” said sight impairment officer Teresa Roberts, who collected the cheque on behalf of the Society.
“It was a fantastic day, everyone was very generous and we even got a volunteer come forward from the day.”
The money will be used by the Lincoln and Lindsey Blind Society to support a wide range of sporting activities for visually impaired and blind people in the areas covered by the Society - Lincoln. East Lindsey, West Lindsey, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire.
