Firefighters were called to Jim’s Yard in Bully Hill Top, Tealby on February 29 to reports of a fire, which left two vehicles, a caravan and farm building with severe
damage.

Sarah Lamballe, of Jim’s Yard, said: “Everyone has been such a tremendous
support.

“That’s the good thing about being in a small community.

“There have been challenges but we’ve been able to rise to it.

“Basically we’re just trying to get back to business as usual.

“We started cleaning up and the Yard is open as normal.

“Jim’s had a lot of help from local tree surgeons.

“The frustrating thing was we had a lot of new stock for spring and it was all really exciting.

“It’s one of those things we’ve just got to get on
with.”

And Ms Lamballe said she was just relieved there were no injuries.

She added: “It’s awful but no-one was hurt.

“The firefighters were amazing.

“It was just unfortunate the direction of the wind carried it all towards the building rather than away from
it.”

And Ms Lamballe said everything planned for the summer season will still go ahead.

She added: “We’re open for business.”

Eight fire appliances attended the furniture workshop shortly after 6pm on Monday, February
29.

This was scaled back to two appliances by
9pm.

In a statement on its Twitter account, Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said three main jets and six breathing apparatus were used to tackle the blaze, in addition to one hose reel and a thermal image
camera.

The day after the fire, Jim’s Yard remained closed for an investigation - and for owners to assess the resulting damage.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue is still investigating the cause of the
blaze.
