Market Rasen’s MR BIG apprentice has been appointed to role of MR BIG’s Administrator, the business improvement group’s only employee.
Sadie Richardson has been the apprentice for the past two years, with her so impressing its bosses, they made her role full-time and paid in May.
After growing up in Rasen, Sadie went to university to study business management, but varsity wasn’t for her. Instead, a passion and vision for her home town led to the apprentice role, which saw her work with MR BIG and studying business and administration while working on markets, festivals and other events to promote the town.
Such efforts led to MR BIG winning awards for small speciality markets, best social enterprise markets and a runner-up placing for town centre management.
Last year, when town centre manager Nicola Marshall left for a similar role in Louth, Sadie took on much of Nicola’s role.
Now, her job is to be fully formalised with a list of responsibilities, which will include working more with traders.
“I’m very pleased to be continuing here. I’m positive about what I do and I really enjoy it. I definitely want to carry on with town centre management. There’s so much new every day,” Sadie said.
