Rescue challenges at national event
RESCUE teams from across the country head to Lincoln this week to hone their skills in the country’s biggest and most prestigious firefighter event.
The national rescue is hosted by Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue and will see 130 teams compete in a series of simulated rescues designed to test their skills to the limit.
Over two days, the teams will be challenged to save casualties in a range of mock incidents and members of the public can go along and watch the action.
The main challenge will involve 50 teams competing to rescue casualties from a car crash in 20 minutes.
The event takes place around the University of Lincoln and the Brayford Pool from 10am-4pm on this Friday, August 24, and Saturday, August 25.
