More than 5,000 visitors attended the family fun day to learn how their food is produced and there was a bumper crop for charity too.

A grand raffle was held, with prizes donated by suppliers to Uncle Henry’s, and the total raised for Brigg Rotary Club’s charity fund was £3,522.82.

In all, a record-breaking £6,500 was raised for charitable causes.

Other fund raising efforts on the day were to support Grayingham Church, Macmillan Cancer Support and the Air Ambulance.

“We were amazed by the support our customers gave us here at Open Farm Sunday,” said Emma Ward, general manager at Uncle Henry’s

“The figures raised for rural and local charities are fantastic and we’d like to thank everyone for their generosity on the day.

“The atmosphere was great and everyone enjoyed visiting the farm and learning more about how their food is produced.”
