Princess Diana Community Award
Monday 4pm DO YOU know someone in your community who works for the good of their communities and neighbours?
Market Rasen Town Council is looking to honour good works with the Princess Diana Community Award for Compassion and Service.
Council clerk Faye Rowland is urging residents to think about who is worthy of receiving such an honour, which is normally given to people who enhance their neighbourhoods.
"People who are nominated are usually people who have done exceptionally good deeds for residents or the community," she said.
"This could involve anything from spontaneous and regular litter picking to voluntarily offers of transport to hopsital for the elderly or disabled. Perhaps it is a good neighbour who ensures an isolated, vulnerable or sick person is visited regulary or someone who does the shopping for another person who cannot get out themselves."
