Police have urged motorists to take care on the region’s roads this morning (Friday) amid ongoing high winds across Lincolnshire.
Gale force winds have been battering the coast over the past 24 hours, sparking warnings from the Environment Agency over the possibility of localised coastal flooding.
And the winds have also caused problems inland, with the gales felling several trees.
The gusts continued overnight and officers in the Lincolnshire Police roads policing unit have advised motorists to keep their eyes peeled for any fallen branches in the roads.
“Take care this morning, [there is] debris in the road from winds overnight,” said a spokesperson.
