Police appeal after Rasen robbery

Monday 12noon POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 22 year old man was robbed in the centre of Market Rasen in the early hours of Saturday morning

The man was attacked in Jameson Bridge Street at about 12.30am and was taken to Grimsby Hospital with injuries to his head and face including swelling and bruising.

A scene guard was put in place to allow officers to conduct their investigations and this was lifted at approximately 10.30 the next morning.

Police are seeking three men, who are reported to be responsible for the robbery and assault.

One is described as tanned or dark skinned and around 19 years of age. He was tall and dressed all in black.

The second man was white, wearing a cap and a white top.

The third man was also white and is described only as shorter than the other two men.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward with information - or call Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555111.

Police believe there may have been a female witness who was in the area at the time and who they would specifically like to talk to.

Similarly, Police would like to hear from anyone recognising the description of the three men.

Call with incident reference number 30 of the 27th June.
