Caistor revealed its green fingers at its Open Gardens/Scarecrow Trail and Gardener’s Fair.
The June 14-15 event attracted much support from afar, with visitor numbers up 25& on last year. Attractions included a bouncy castle, plant sales, refreshments, with funds going to the British Red Cross.
Deborah Barker, chairman of Caistor in Bloom, thanked the volunteers and gardeners, saying the scarecrows were a delight to see.
“Comments received were incredibly favourable and people expressed surprise and pleasure at the rich variety of landscapes and the efforts that had gone into their making for the enjoyment of all. This has helped to encourage tourism to Caistor and hopefully give a real feel good factor to all.”
