A Lissington couple have used pedal power to raise money for charity.

Laura and Paul Willoughby took part in a 20km Gold Cycle Challenge in aid of The Rainbow Trust, along with friends Michael Steel, also from Lissington, and Maria Hodgkins from Witham St Hugh’s.

The quartet completed the challenge in one hour and 40 minutes and together raised £475 for the charity, which delivers family-centred care for terminally ill children and babies.

“I was inspired to raise money for this charity after meeting a mother who was nursing her sick child on Rainforest children’s ward at Lincoln back in March,” said Laura.

“And we would all like to say a massive thank you to all those people who have sponsored us.”
