The Rev Steve Johnson, new Priest in Charge at Market Rasen EMN-140630-181839001

The Bishop of Lincoln has announced the Rev Stephen Johnson will be the new Priest in Charge for the 
Benefice of Market Rasen, Linwood, Lissington and Legsby.

The position has been vacant since the Rev Michael Cartwright retired in 
December 2012.

The Rev Johnson is currently Parish Community Chaplain in the Benefice of Louth.

Originating from Alsager, just north of Stoke on Trent, his background is in secondary education.

He taught in Stoke on Trent and Crewe, before moving to Lincolnshire, spending some 15 years in Senior Leadership including Headship.

He was ordained in 2006 and moved to stipendiary ministry in January 2013.

Stephen and his wife, Liz, have three teenage children - Thomas, Andrew and Hannah.

The Bishop of Lincoln will preside at the service of licensing and installation at Market Rasen in September.
