New homes lead to car crash fears

FEARS that there will be a crash involving cars turning out of Pasture Lane in Market Rasen have been raised by residents.

Market Rasen Town Council heard that there had been several near misses involving vehicles turning out of the lane onto Willingham Road. And Pasture Lane householders are concerned the problem will be magnified when 64 new homes are built on derelict land adjacent, the old Blanchards Taxi site.

Planning permission for this site has already been approved.

At the same meeting the council heard that West Lindsey District Council leader and Market Rasen county Councillor Burt Keimach is looking at traffic calming measures along the town’s main roads to prevent such an accident taking place.
