A brave mother and daughter combination from Brigg Office Supplies have leapt out the skies from 15,000 feet in a sky dive for charity-and landed safely.

Proprietor Jenny Ellis and her daughter Kara Broughton look set to have raised £10,000 for the Jerry Green Dog Rescue and Lindsey Lodge Hospice through their efforts.

Hibaldstow airfield was the assembly point and Kara didn’t try to kid anyone that she wasn’t scared:

“I felt sick going up in the plane and thought just why am I doing this. I wanted to go back down but I did not have the guts to turn back,” she said.

Jenny was just that bit more relaxed-or so she said.

“The weather was none too good when we arrived but then the cloud broke and the plane rushed us up,” she added.

But once they were out of the plane, they shared the same feelings, Kara putting them into words:

“It was just amazing hanging there in mid air.

“Anyone who wants to do it should just book in at Hibaldstow, get sponsors and get on with it,”said Jenny.

“We are very grateful to everyone who supported us and would be happy if all our sponsors could settle up asap.”
